WHO WE ARE
Evergreen Middle School, home of the Grizzlies, is located in Kent's Star Lake neighborhood and serves scholars in grades 6-8. Our mission is to prepare our scholars to think critically and creatively about our global society, giving opportunities to explore passions while ensuring college and career readiness, in a safe learning environment that celebrates diversity, individuality, acceptance, and community.

Celebrate Black History Month with Federal Way Public Schools this February! Join us as we honor the enduring legacy and impactful contributions of African Americans throughout history. This month-long celebration will feature dynamic assemblies, inspiring art projects, soul-stirring musical performances, and much more.
The 2025-26 Choice Enrollment Registration will be available for all grade levels February 3 – March 17.

Disability History and Awareness Month takes place during October to increase awareness, respect, and acceptance for people with disabilities, and to bring a greater sense of pride to people with disabilities.

September 15 marks the beginning of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time when our district and schools acknowledge the contributions, achievements, histories, and vibrant cultures of individuals of Hispanic or Latinx descent from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America.
